In House Coordinator Drawing Winner

Every year, La-Z-Boy of Arkansas, located right here in Siloam Springs, generously donates a hand crafted chair to be raffled off through a drawing to the heroes of our workplace campaign effort, the In-House Coordinators. The job of an In-House Coordinator is not easy. They are responsible for planning and executing an effort to educate their co-workers about the work of United Way, ask for their support, and thank them for participating. This task is in addition to their normal responsibilities. Without our In-House Coordinators, United Way’s work would not be possible.

Back Row: Ashley McGee (United Way), Audra Farrell & Kevin Harmon (La-Z-Boy)

Front Row: Carol Pluimer (Bentonville Public Schools' Early Childhood Center), Jerry Cavness (United Way)

This year’s winner is Carol Pluimer with Bentonville Public Schools’ Early Childhood Center. Carol has led her campaign for two years. Most recently, Carol implemented a trike race to raise additional support for United Way, and to give the children an opportunity to give back as well. This year, the team at the Early Childhood Center wanted to show their appreciation for the weekly products received by designating their United Way campaign to the Gifts In-Kind warehouse! Carol had this thought to share,

“In addition to being the United Way In-House coordinator for the annual fundraising campaign, I have the privilege of working with United Way on a weekly basis. Tuesday is my favorite day of the week because I get to visit the United Way Gifts-in-Kind Warehouse. I am able to bless the families here at the ECC with household products and necessities because of United Way! I personally know and see, first hand, what an amazing blessing the United Way organization is to Northwest Arkansas.”

Thank you, Carol, for all of your hard work this year. Thank you to ALL of our fantastic In-House Coordinators for putting us on a strong pace to reach our goal of $3.8 million. Thank you to the great team at La-Z-Boy for building and donating a beautiful chair for use in our In-House Coordinators’ drawing this year.
